Thoughts On The Grotesque Guardian Update
As many of you know that The Grotesque Guardians update is finally here after what felt like a million years of Jagex teasing. Here at 2007RunescapeGold.com, we were very excited to check these new Slayer bosses out and wanted to share our thoughts.
To start with Grotesque Guardians only require level 75 Slayer which is one of the lowest levels for a Slayer boss which is pretty interesting. We get the feeling that this is a boss that is aimed at more mid level, dare we say, casual players?
What is interesting is that even when you are level 75 you cannot just go and fight them. You have to do a little bit of grinding by killing these weak gargoyles and waiting for one of them to drop a key to the roof where you get to fight the Grotesque Guardians. Some people are not keen on this and think that it is a waste of time, but we kind of get what Jagex was going for here.
It does not take as long as people are making out and it does kind of pump you up for fighting the Grotesque Guardians Dusk and Dark. It is almost like an old school game where you have to face some mini bosses before you get to the main event! We feel that is what Jagex was going for here in making us have to fight the weaker gargoyles in order to get a key for the roof.
The actual battle with the Grotesque Guardians (we have a guide elsewhere on our blog) is not too tough once you get the attack pattern down.
