One thing though that we hear time and time again is players who will fill their bank up with a load of cheap gear and then when they come to sell it, they notice that they are losing a heck of a lot of money.
Cheap gear, when dealt with right and upgraded properly, can make you some nice money. But buying cheap gear, using it for an early quest and then getting rid of it, is more than likely not going to making you much money. Also, this lower priced gear that has a very low sell on value will, of course, serve you well for early and easy quests. So the best way to look at cheap gear in the early parts of Old School Runescape is that it is there for a purpose and that purpose is to get you through the game. So just getting rid of it when it has served its purpose may not make you rich at least you are getting a little bit of money back for something that you are no longer going to use.
